LL
The Program for Extraction of
2D Inductances
of Multi-Superconductor Transmission Lines

The program LL was developed as general,
fast and reliable tool for the extraction of inductances of
stretched multi-superconductor transmission lines with 2D
approach. It can be implemented in CAD applications for the
extraction of model parameters. Recently calculations of impedance were added.
Main features of the program are:
- The program is based on the London model of
superconductive current and accurately take into account
the London effects of finite penetration depth, proximity
effects and fringing factors.
- The program exploit new numerical technique which is
different from the finite differences and
variational approach. The numerical technique of LL
consist in rigorous and accurate boundary reduction of the
problem on the boundary of conductors (direct Boundary
Element Method).
- As result in the improvements in the basic approach
to the numerical simulation, LL has next advantages:
- Arbitrary form of the cross-sections of the
conductors (usually only the rectangular
conductors are considered);
- The program is more precious but less time and
memory consuming then other known;
- The program is more numerically stable.
- New version calculate impedances.
Some results of inductances calculations with LL
are presented in SDE
CAD tools, Inductance Rodeo Results
This program is written using wxWidgets.
Old program without impedances and with manual is here
.
Here is reference on different old and less effective approach for superconductors inductances extraction.
